From ClintB: 20mm Arab Revolt Turkish Infantry (96 points)

From Clint:
Continuing the "Arab Revolt" Game sorry no Camels today (But still more to come. I promise.) Here however are 24 Turks which will act as the opposition for the camel mounted Arabs. Obviously the Ottomans had more adversaries than just the Arabs, so the figures could also be used at Gallipoli as well as any of the Battles against the British forces in Palestine. And maybe next year I might do those forces for the painting challenge. But that is the future and I will need to build on this force as it stands if I was going to fight any of those battle.

The figures are again IT Miniatures and 20mm or 1/72nd scale. And between the pictures you have the whole range with the exception of support weapons. I'll need to try the game first before I think of adding any Machine guns for example. But it is quite possible that they will be added in the future.  Apart from the two officers who are sword armed they all carry rifles (Mauser  M.1898. for those interested in the little details).
In an ideal world I would have liked a few more wearing the Red Fez so again looking to the future I can see some head swaps in the distance. After all as Dr. Who has claimed " Fezzes are cool!" Who am I to contradict him.

How cool is this: more dudes in fezzes! These look great Clint. Are you going to find some German advisors to accompany these guys? As you say a very versatile force.

These young Turks will give Clint 96 points, allowing him to close in tight on his second Challenge target of 950 points. Good job!

From ClintB: 20mm Arab Revolt Camel Riders (96 points)

Apparently this is the Year of the Camel as we make the trek from Sidney's Sudan to have another visit of Clint's Arabia.

From Clint:
Here is my next submission to the painting challenge 12 more 20mm Camels and Riders.
This puts me about 1/2 way through the force so while there is still more to come I will no doubt be starting the Turkish forces soon.

'On to Damascushh!!' You know, the world is a lesser place without Peter O'Toole in it. I loved him in 'Lawrence of Arabia' (or as I like to call it, 'Larry of the Sands') and I try to watch it every winter to remind me what heat is all about. But this year I won't have to because Clint is sending in these fabulous Arab Revolt models. Great job Clint! I really like what you've done with the varied robes, saddlery and headdress on these fellows. Marvellous stuff.

These dozen camels with their riders will give Clint a cool 96 points. Now get back to your hobby desk and bust your hump to get the next set done!  :)

From ClintB: 20mm Arabs Mounted on Camels (80 points)

From Clint:
These are 10 Camel Mounted Arabs by IT Miniatures WW1 in 20mm. I will be using them for a show game in June and if I get them all finished, in March as well. The game will be set in the Arab Revolt 1916-1918. Most people are only familiar with this conflict due to the recently departed Peter O'Toole and the film "Laurence of Arabia".

These figures come in a mix of rifle and sword armed and a choice of standing or walking Camels usually supplied in a random mix. That being the case and as I will need between 35-50 of them in all I will have to vary the colours in later batches.

I saw the first test models of these and I'll say now what I said then: beautiful work Clint! I love the whole idea of this project. One of those, if he wasn't doing it I would scenarios. I look forward to seeing it develop over the next few months.

These 10 camel jockeys (wow, I can actually say that in good conscience) will give Clint 80 points. Well done!
