Pulp Adventures - Heroes in Greyscale

As a counterpoint to the cultists of a few weeks ago, here are some doughty heroes ready to do battle against the forces of the remorseless Dark Gods.

This trio is from Artizan Designs' excellent 'Thrilling Tales' range of figures.

The lady of the household thinks the priest has a Ron Perlman thing kinda going on.  I gave his hair a flash of grey locks to tie in with his clerical collar.

The chap with the Lewis Gun is a great sculpt, but the gun itself looks a tad small - I still like him though, especially with those heavy-duty gauntlets he's sporting.

This fellow who's two-timing with the Colt automatic and the 'broomhandle' Mauser is very dynamic - definitely a top-of-the-marquee Man of Action type. I also think he cuts quite a dash in his jodhpurs.

These lads will be welcomed as much-needed additions in our games of 'Strange Aeons'.

Next up will be some 1914 British infantry...

    1. Thanks Fran! Yes, I'm sure he was the inspiration of the figure as Artizan does many film icons in this range (their 'Oddball' from Kelly's Heroes is excellent).

  2. Still loveing the grayscale, the roleplay will have a certain feel to it using those figures

  3. I can see Big Ron in the priest too; they all look superb. Very Sin City, in a good way of course.

    1. Which is good as Ron is a definite badass - a definite plus in an unhinged priest.
