From MichaelF: 28mm Viking Archers, Casualties and Markers (45 points)

Michael sends in these last bits for his 28mm SAGA Viking warband. Here are six archers, casualties and a collection of discarded shields to serve as fatigue markers.

Michael told me that he was not too enamoured with the idea of Viking archers and so did not feel too inspired with them. Nonetheless he did a simple but brilliant conversion with one of the Foundry Bondi castings, depicting the fellow drawing out a arrow from his quiver. I'm going to have to give this a try. Well done!

The casualty on the left somehow reminds me of Trinity in 'The Matrix' leaping in 'bullet-time'.
This group will give Michael 45 points. Very nice work.

  2. And the poor dead monk rather looks like he is singing a Broadway showtune. All nice figures. I like the archer conversion, and the shields as fatigue markers is a nice idea.

  3. Oooh conversions - very nice. Really like these

Mind if we are getting points for shields - better look out I have just cut 400 off the sprues for my Mahdists!

  4. @ the 'mad padre': perhaps that why the monk was slain - its a little known fact that Vikings absolutely loath Gilbert & Sulivan (themselves, suitably, being huge fans of Scandinavian Death Metal).
