From EdwinK: 28mm Professor Morrison - Before and After (10 points)

From Edwin:

These two figures are Prof Morrison before and after The Incident - either that or a pathetic attempt to link two disparate figures.
The 'before' is a 28mm figure 'Dr Curfew' from Artizan's Thrilling Adventures range.

The 'after' is 'Brain in jar on track' (snappy name!) from Black Cat Bases and 20mm to the top of the jar. I painted it for the Vehicles Bonus Round, but thought better of submitting it (I had the same doubts with it for the Villains Round).

Awesome! Will there be a back story about this character provided on your blog, Edwin? Inquiring minds wish to know more about the mysterious Professor Morrison and his later incarnation: 'Brain in Jar on Track'. What was 'The Incident'?

Also, what is that red globe-thingy on the track assembly? Maybe he's coin operated...

These two versions of Prof. Morrison will give Edwin 10 points.

  2. I can see you've used your brain to come up with this entry Edwin (which is more than most of us can say!) - nice work sir, nice work.

  3. Thank you everybody! I must say that the freedom to weave strange and complex stories is what appeals to me the most about Pulp.

Curt - I was a bit flummoxed by the globe-thing. Is is a sensor array? Perhaps some fiendish device that produces a deadly arc of electricity?

Dave - You mean, let me understand this cos, ya know maybe it's me, I'm a little f*ked up maybe, but I'm funny how, I mean funny like I'm a clown, I amuse you? I make you laugh, I'm here to f*kin' amuse you? What do you mean funny, funny how? How am I funny?

Tamsin - You're the mistress of the back-story (my faves are the refuse ship and the AA van!), so thanks!

    1. I'm particularly proud of how I got the 'mist in the jar' effect by liberally spilling superglue everywhere ;)

  7. This would have been great in the vehicle bonus round. It is such fun, it may well be a Salute purchase I don't think I can life without one.

    1. Yes, it was a 'I've got to have one of those' purchase. Black Cat have some nice stuff on their catalogue - it's a shame they're not able to honour their orders at the moment.
