From SamuliS: 28mm Napoleonic 95th Rifles (50 points)

Samuli sends us a great skirmishing group depicting the 95th Rifles.

From Samuli:
Here is my next batch. The infamous 95th. 10 metal Perry riflemen in 28mm.
Back to work after a christmas holiday during which painting was out of bounds. Plenty of episodes of Sharpe though to get me ready for painting some more 95th rifles to complete my battalion of them. Probably no need to introduce the subject to anyone :)

Nothing fancy, just basic Perry metal riflemen in 28mm. Painted with Vallejo and Army Painter paints. Finished with some quick shade and army painter ground products.
You did great work on these Samuli, well done.

This sharp bit of work (hardy har har...) will give Samuli 50 points to add to his total.

From AndrewS: 28mm Celtic/Norse Vikings (80 points)

From Andrew:
Here is my next entry, having not been at the brushes for three days these were done either side of the Christmas break. Two points of warriors both 8 figures for a total of 16. They are Foundry 28mm's  from their Viking range.

These took a bit more work than the normal Vikings I pump out as I decided as they are Celtic / Norse to use more Plaid on the clothing and the striped trousers both take a lot of fine detail work and need concentration.

This now completes my 4 point Norse Gael warband. I may add a Sons of death unit in the future.
Next up will be some Napoleonic's.

Another excellent warband of Vikings Andrew! Those plaid trews and cloaks came out very nicely, well done.

These bad lads will give Andrew 80 points.

From Curt: 30mm Samurai with 'Meganata' (5 points)

I have a couple larger projects on the go but I thought I'd keep in the mix by popping in with a single figure now and again. I found this model deep in my 'Miscellaneous' bin and thought I'd prime it up and put on a lick of paint.

This is a model from the Clan War miniature range. I'm not sure if these figures are still around but I remember that they had some really nice castings, though they are a tad largish in comparison to regular 28s.

I always liked the look of the red armour from the movies 'Ran' and 'Heaven and Earth' (not the Tommy Lee Jones film) so I thought I'd try something similar.

His polearm is a little over the top but I was too lazy to swap it out with something less 'heroic'. (I'm going to call it a 'Meganata', yeah that's it...)

This lad will chip me 5 points. WooHoo!
