From JuanM: 28mm Peasant's War & Rhodesian Bush War Guerillas (30 points)

Like Ross earlier today, Juan sends in an eclectic mix of figures spanning some 400 years, from the 16th century Peasant's Wars to the Rhodesian Bush War of the 1960s and '70s.

The Horroractor (like peasants don't have enough to keep them frightened) is from Pro Gloria Miniatures while the two pikemen are from the Perry's medieval range.

Last but now least, Juan sends us three fighters from the Rhodesian Bush War. I suppose these could fit as either ZANLA or ZIPRA guerillas in that conflict. These 28mm castings are from Eureka Miniatures excellent modern range.

This fine collection will give Juan 30 points to add to his tally. Well done, Juan!

From RossM: 20mm WWII Germans & 28mm Vikings (45 points)

Ross sends us several figures from two very disparate periods of history - The Dark Age and World War Two.

From Ross:

The 28mm are from Gripping Beast and will form the backbone of a SAGA Viking Hearthguard. These figures are from the older range of Gripping Beast Vikings and the development and animation that is seen in the newer work isn't there. Still love the range though. The shields here are again hand painted although there isn't much of a design in either.

Next up there are two support weapons from SHQ 20mm WW2 Germans. These figures nearly complete the Disposable Heroes Late War Germans that I have been working on over the last two years. Shown here there is a 120mm mortar and a MG42. On both of these stands only the crew have been painted for the competition.

Lovely work Ross!  These two groups will give you a base of 43 points but I'm pipping it to 45 for the hand-painted shields.

From KentG: 28mm ECW Artillery Battery & Crew (85 points)

Kent is making me eat my words (or is the term 'redact' now?) as he has managed to get this battery of ECW artillery done within the Challenge deadline.

I'm not positive but I believe these are 28mm Wargames Foundry models.

I think these would be termed as two Culverins and a Saker, or is it two Demi-Culverins and a Falconet? Cripes, I have a hard time keeping them straight...

Nonetheless, this fine group of Guns will give Kent 85 points AND they will see Kent break through the 4K barrier in the Challenge. That is an awesome achievement Kent - BRAVO! There is still a little over a week left so I wonder what he'll squeeze in...
