Alright Challengers! This is it - the last dash. Let's get the Led Out!

Over the next few days you're going to see a deluge of entries rolling through the blog as I struggle to catch up and keep up with the participants' last Big Push to the finish line this Thursday.

To help keep the blood up I'm including a few 'oldies but goodies' for you to tap your feet to as you lash paint on figures and enjoy the coming entries.

Have fun and I'll catch up with you all Thursday!

Led Zepplin - 'Ramble On' (My first favourite Zeppelin tune...)

Steriogram - 'Walkie Talkie Man' (This song just makes me laugh)

Jimmy Page & Robert Plant - 'Kashmir' with Egyptian Orchestra (So slick and mature.)

The Band - 'The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down' (This tune still gives me the shivers. RIP Levon Helm.)

E Type - 'Life' (As a friend of mine said to me after seeing this video, 'Funny, I don't remember there being any music in it...')

  2. Eeeek! So close to the finish. I'm just hoping that nothing goes wrong and that I manage to get my NAC ships painted and submitted in time.

  3. I'll never forget the first time I heard Zep. It was Bonzo that got me, not Plant. I wanted that power. I gave up guitar and began playing drums and have never looked back. I had Ludwig custom build me a kit just like Bonzo's. That 26 inch bass roars. My favourite Zep track is Achillies Last Stand.

Music From Big Pink was my favourite album from The Band. I have a lot respect for their music and the movie The Last Waltz still holds up after all these years.

I'm guessing I wouldn't have minded burning one with you back in the day :)

    1. Back in the day? C'mon Anne, if we ever cross paths we'll definitely have to imbibe and tell tall tales.

Agreed, Achilles is a brilliant tune.

  4. Excellent musical choices, especially "The Band". I'm still a bit sad that we lost Levon Helm in 2012.

    1. I thought 'The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down' would resonate with your Alabamian blood Miles.
