I'll have an Austrian unit up soon that will encompass almost 10 years between rounds of painting!Greg Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05090722688748673409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5113124494092492419.post-41300959760591522122011-04-18T07:04:09.496-06:002011-04-18T07:04:09.496-06:00Ah mystery solved. You've done a cracking job of them!

My thinking of the early carabiniers and the grenadiers of cheval has always been as soon as their horse does, so does their bearskin right off the back of their heads. It has always puzzled me even with a chin strap how did they keep them on?
Cheers
paulPaulalbahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03482911273863430204noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5113124494092492419.post-23786398550996050032011-04-17T14:01:33.534-06:002011-04-17T14:01:33.534-06:00Thanks John. I can only paint 4-5 cavalry models at a go (thus the pic) otherwise my progress seems so glacial. I have the attention span of an eight-year old!Curthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03202047917371080576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5113124494092492419.post-53492492491934496092011-04-17T13:54:53.281-06:002011-04-17T13:54:53.281-06:00Very nice Curt, I will look forward to seeing the ...Very nice Curt, I will look forward to seeing the full unit. ?16 figures.

Johnjohn de terre neuvehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03898285039988448895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5113124494092492419.post-78104212493245987442011-04-17T13:50:58.509-06:002011-04-17T13:50:58.509-06:00Thank you M'Lord! :)

I can see how the transition of the uniforms against the dark mud gives an interesting contrast. I'll have to ponder on that as I'm so used to doing full-on groundwork.Curthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03202047917371080576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5113124494092492419.post-63146044814886095202011-04-17T13:39:29.863-06:002011-04-17T13:39:29.863-06:00They look fantastic, I really like them! I think you should, I'm sure a muddy field is actually more realistic than some of the quarries/flower shows I've seen!Lord Hillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17969238321145835849noreply@blogger.com
