Artizan, Coppelstone, Crusader, Redoubt, Renegade, Aventine, A&A, Musketeer are all this type of figure with extra raised detail, and slightly exaggerated proportions that make them a pleasure to paint and have certain charm. Now I like things from other companies of course, but the ones above are what I call painter friendly in that everything is easy to get to making painting a more pleasurable experience if you get my meaning.

ChristopherChristopher(aka Axebreaker)https://www.blogger.com/profile/13205928451375232865noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5113124494092492419.post-20411183510647108792014-03-12T23:13:56.141-06:002014-03-12T23:13:56.141-06:00Great looking DAK figures with great painting.

I'm going to try some of the Perry models but I suspect I may have a similar opinion to your own. I typically love the Perry stuff and I'm sure their WWII range is wonderful but Artizan's sculpts have such great character about them.Curthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03202047917371080576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5113124494092492419.post-59646622708403521632014-03-12T15:42:25.520-06:002014-03-12T15:42:25.520-06:00I'm with Nick(Martin) on Artizan over Perry. We are friends and have discussed this and both really like Artizan figures as they are easy to clean and paint and pack loads of character in facial expressions and movement. The figures are a bit exaggerated, but that's part of their charm. Of course too much exaggeration of proportions isn't good either, but Artizan stops at the right amount. Perry WWII while anatomically more correct and the detail more exact don't have the same colourful feel and are harder to clean and paint. Nobody is suggesting the Perry DAK isn't nice which they are, but rather we have a preference for Artizan.

ChristopherChristopher(aka Axebreaker)https://www.blogger.com/profile/13205928451375232865noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5113124494092492419.post-11486388345793303272014-03-12T15:30:29.011-06:002014-03-12T15:30:29.011-06:00Nice work on these DAK troops.
